Long Beach Mushrooms

Justin & Mia

Justin did not want his son to grow up and one day ask him a hard question: why didn't you try? That thought became the seed of Long Beach Mushrooms, a family-run gourmet mushroom farm that Justin and Mia built from the ground up in Long Beach, California.

Justin and Mia never set out to start a mushroom business. Their journey began with their own health, and a simple wish to know where their food came from. So they started growing it themselves, first vegetables, then chickens, then livestock, and eventually mushrooms in their garage.

What began as a home experiment turned into a craft. Gourmet mushrooms are demanding; they need clean conditions, steady humidity, and constant attention. The couple learned each variety by trial and error, dialing in the exact conditions that produce dense, flavorful flushes.

Today Long Beach Mushrooms is a small, family operation with a big sense of purpose. Every harvest carries the same idea that started it all; that it is worth trying, worth doing the work, and worth growing food you can believe in.
