Leprendo ("Leprendo," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website leprendo.com (the "Site") and the associated online store (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.

This policy explains our practices and does not waive any rights available to you under applicable law.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Give Us

• Account and contact information: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address.
• Order information: items purchased, order history, order value.
• Payment information: processed directly by our payment processor (see Section 4). We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers.
• Communications: messages you send us via contact forms, email, or chat, and any information you provide when requesting a product.
• Reviews and surveys: if you submit a product review (via Judge.me) or respond to a survey, we collect your name, email, rating, review content, and any photos/media you choose to include. Reviews may be displayed publicly on the Site.
• Marketing preferences: if you sign up for our email or SMS list, we collect your email address and/or phone number and your consent preferences.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit or interact with the Site, we and our service providers may collect the following information. Analytics and advertising technologies load unless you opt out as described in Section 3. Embedded third-party content may collect information when it is displayed or used:

• Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system).
• Usage data (pages viewed, time on site, referring/exit pages, links clicked).
• Location data derived from IP address (general geographic area, not precise location).
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 3).

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from service providers such as our payment processor, shipping carriers, Shopify, and marketing/analytics platforms described in Section 4.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Process and fulfill orders, including payment, shipping, and customer service.
• Create and manage your account.
• Send transactional communications (order confirmations, shipping updates, account notices).
• Send marketing communications by email and SMS, where you have opted in, including product updates, promotions, and farmer/product stories.
• Display and manage product reviews and respond to survey feedback.
• Personalize your experience and show relevant content or product recommendations.
• Analyze and improve the Site, our products, and our marketing (via analytics tools).
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, or technical problems.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Necessary storage supports the cart and core store functions. Analytics and advertising technologies currently load with the Site unless you use the opt-out control in our Cookie Policy, send a recognized Global Privacy Control signal, or block them through your browser.

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to:

• Keep you logged in and remember your cart.
• Understand how visitors use the Site (analytics).
• Measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising.
• Deliver interest-based ads on other websites and platforms.

Technologies we currently use include:

• Google-hosted media and resources — YouTube embeds, Google Forms, and hosted fonts.
• Klaviyo — receives information when you submit a marketing signup and uses onsite JavaScript to measure page views, product interactions, searches, cart activity, checkout, and signup events for identified visitors.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising measurement and attribution for page views, product interactions, searches, cart activity, checkout, signup, and purchase events.
• Judge.me — review collection and display.

You can disable Leprendo’s Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Klaviyo onsite tracking on our Cookie Policy page. We also treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. Browser settings can separately block or delete storage.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as follows:

Some of these third parties may independently qualify as "third parties" or "service providers" under CCPA/CPRA, and some (e.g., advertising cookies) may constitute a "share" for cross-context behavioral advertising under CPRA; see Section 6.

We require service providers to use your information only for the purposes we authorize and consistent with this policy.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR (EU/EEA/UK Residents)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal exceptions.
• Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
• Data portability, to receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (e.g., marketing emails/SMS).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Legal bases for processing may include performance of a contract (order fulfillment), consent (marketing communications and where otherwise required), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security, analytics, advertising measurement, and improving the Service), and compliance with legal obligations. The applicable basis can depend on your location and the processing involved.

International transfers: Because our service providers (e.g., Shopify, Klaviyo, Google, Meta) may process data outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

6. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable law covers Leprendo, state privacy laws—including those in California and other states—may provide rights to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and (if applicable) "sell" or "share."
• Delete personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We do not sell personal information for money. You can disable Leprendo’s analytics and advertising trackers through our Cookie Policy, and we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out.
• Non-discrimination, meaning we will not deny goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
• Limit use of sensitive personal information, where applicable (we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for payment processing).
• Designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

To submit a request or appeal a decision where applicable, contact us using the details in Section 9. We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests involving access, correction, or deletion. Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

7. SMS Marketing

If you opt in to receive text messages from us:

• You consent to receive automated marketing messages at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
• Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies.
• You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP.
• Your phone number and consent records are shared with our SMS provider and Klaviyo solely to deliver and manage these messages, in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and carrier guidelines.

8. Data Retention, Security, and Children's Privacy

Retention: We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including order/tax record-keeping requirements, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Security: We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including those provided by Shopify and our payment processor, which is PCI-DSS compliant) to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children's privacy: The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16, where applicable under GDPR), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
